Forgotten F.O.

I forgot to post this scarf I finished ages ago on the blog, even though I had put it up on etsy a while ago...
It's pure wool, warm, chunky and I love the color. The pattern, which I made up as I went, isn't exactly reversible but it looks great on both sides, and doesn't curl at the edges...

Mi son dimenticata di fare un post su questa sciarpa fatta tempo addietro, anche se l'avevo già postata su etsy... é in pura lana grossa e caldosa e il colore mi piace tantissimo. Il punto, che ho inventato man mano che la facevo, non è perfettamente double-face ma sta bene da entrambi i lati, e non si arriccia sui bordi...

Enchanting...

I'm loving the new Kim Hargreaves book Enchanted. The first few projects are all in white and gray...it would be so easy for that to get a little boring but they all look so cozy and elegant at the same time. Here are some of my favorites:

Mi piace moltissimo il nuovo libro di Kim Hargreaves, Enchanted. I primi progetti sono tutti sui toni del bianco e del grigio, il che portebbe renderli un po' noiosi ma sono tutti bellissimi, caldi ed eleganti allo stesso tempo. Ecco alcuni dei miei preferiti:

I'm currently working on about a hundred different projects at the same time, I don't know what got into me to start so many projects all at once, probably the fact that I had so much amazing new yarn I wanted to try out as soon as possible...but some are almost finished so expect F.O. posts soon!

Io al momento sto lavorando a cento progetti diversi allo stesso tempo, non so cosa mi ha preso a iniziare  così tante cose tutte contemporaneamente, probabilmente il fatto di avere tantissime lane nuove stupende che volevo iniziare a usare...ma alcuni progetti son quasi alla fine quindi dovrebbero esserci foto presto!

It's been pretty silent here on the blog lately because life has been a little hectic, finding a new house, getting furniture for it, starting to move, all while reahearsing for a show and trying to write my thesis. Oh, and I got a new kitten...meet Oscar:


Ultimamente non c'è stata molta vita su questo blog, ma sono stata un po' incasinata, fra il cercare casa, ammobiliarla e iniziare a spostare la roba alla casa nuova... in più ho prove per uno spettacolo quasi tutti i giorni e nel frattempo cerco di scrivere la tesi. Ah, e ho anche preso un gattino nuovo... vi presento Oscar:

In the last few weeks I have found myself taking quite a few pictures with my phone while walking or driving...Torino looks so pretty this time of year!

F.O.: Dark blue fluffly textured scarf

I finally took pictures of this scarf I finished last week, I loved knitting with this scrumptious yarn it's lovely! It's 50% merino wool, 10% alpaca and 40% acrylic, in a really pretty shade of dark blue with a bit of white as you can see in the second picture. It's also incredibly soft and slightly fluffy...love it!

Ho finalmente fotografato questa sciarpa che ho finito la settimana scorsa. La lana che ho usato è stupenda, ed era fantastica da lavorare. La composizione è: 50% lana merino, 10% alpaca e 40% acrilico ed è di un bellissimo blu scuro con dei sottili fili bianchi...come si può vedere nella seconda foto. Mi piace moltissimo, é incredibilmente morbida e un pochino puffosa...

The fair...

So this weekend I was at a fair in Cherasco I go to every year...here's a picture (taken with a phone) of my booth:
Questo weekend ero ad un mercatino a Cherasco al quale partecipo ogni anno...ecco una foto (da cellulare) del mio gazebo:

 I vamped it up quite a bit since the last fairs I went to last year, I'm especially proud of my pretty little babies...the mannequins! They are so pretty in all their prettiness! (One is actually hidden in the picture) The fair went quite well, I was a little worried about the fact that I raised my prices recently, but I got much fewer nasty looks than I thought I would, and managed to sell quite a few things even with my new prices. It was very encouraging indeed!

Rispetto all'anno scorso l'ho modificato un po', e sono particolarmente fiera delle mie bellissime bambine...i busti! Non sono splendidamente splendide? (Uno è nascosto nella foto). Il mercato è andato abbastanza bene, ero un po' preoccupata per il fatto che ho aumentato i prezzi rispetto all'anno scorso, ma ho ricevuto meno occhiatacce di quante mi aspettavo, e sono riuscita a vendere anche con i prezzi nuovi. La cosa è stata molto rincuorante!
 
I have an F.O. that I still have to take pictures of and I almost finished another project so I might wait and photograph them both together...either way...F.O.'s soon to come!

Ho finito un progetto che devo ancora fotografare e sono quasi alla fine di un altro...probabilmente aspetterò di finire il secondo e poi farò le foto assieme...in ogni caso presto avrò nuove cose da mostrarvi!
