Why heeello there!

Just came back from a roadtrip I took with my parents (yes, yes, I know) in the U.S...here's a few Instagram pictures I took...

(Yes, I love Fruit Loops, and they don't sell them here in Italy, which is a pity, even though it's probably a good thing for my health. Same thing goes for diners...)

Etsy update!

Added this little summer hat to my etsy page today...I actually made it last year but only got down to taking pictures and everything now...better late than never!

F.O.: Blue cotton tank top with diamond-shaped lace border

Why hello there! I just came back from hot and sunny Madrid, I might post some pictures sometime soon...but in the meantime, here's a pretty little F.O. I finished yesterday!
It's a tank top I knit using the blue cotton I mentioned in this post. I was really worried at one point that I was going to run out of yarn but thankfully I had enough to finish the top, even though I did have to change the design a little. I initially had thought of making a draping collar of some kind, but since the cotton is a little thick, the collar probably wouldn't have fallen as well as I would have liked it to, thinner yarn is better for draping I think.
The lace is pretty simple, I spent a while trying out different lace patterns I found in old magazines but none worked out well, so I decided to just go for it and design a simple lace pattern myself. This one is easy and quick but the result is pretty in it's simplicity.

Since the yarn wasn't much, and since it was kind of chunky I decided to try out something new to finish the collar and armholes and instead of making a crochet border I tried stitching the finishing. I like it!

As always, details on my etsy page!
